Happy Labor Day weekend! This is kinda the last hurrah for summer, isn’t it? We shudder at this time of year…as we remember what it was like being a kid, and how that pit of dread just sits in the bottom of your stomach. If you have little ones (or, big ones), or are in school yourself–you KNOW that this time of year gets a little nuts too. (Or, if you just go shopping, and pass by the school section, you see the insanity–as you, luckily, get to keep on a’walkin’. 🙂 ) The open houses, the lists, the shopping, the out-of-stocks, the schedule changes, and the anxiety…it just keeps coming.
However, as we focus on our own kids, and all that they need–there’s a huge population of adults who have also been dealing with all of the above–but, for themselves. (On top of, often times, dealing with it all for their children too.) Teachers, and staff, are working super long hours these days to make sure that everything is ready for everyone else. They are just as nervous about the first day of school, and they are just as sad to see summer vacation go. We’re busy with a lot of weddings right now–but, we’ve also been busy filling orders from the loved ones of teachers, as they send flowers to school to help brighten the room–and the mood. Sweet River Candy Company (our sister store), is all about delivering the candy baskets to schools, and staff, right now–but, we’re all about the flowers. If you know a teacher who could use a pick-me-up next week, flowers on the desk can really go a long way into helping to ease the transition, as well as making someone special feel really appreciated.
We deliver to schools all over the Twin Cities–all you have to do is give us a call, or head to our website. If you like the idea of sending chocolate, too–you can add on a box after you select your flowers from our website. (Pictured below–check out the lower, right hand, corner.) If you call us, just make sure to let us know that you would like to add chocolates on.
