Hello! We wanted to pop in quickly today and let you know how we’re coming along on the big move. (Moving is seriously a ton of work…why do we always forget that?) We’ve been busy working everyday to make it so we’re up, and running, out of the new location by mid-August. Right now, that seems impossibly soon–but, we thrive under pressure. Plus, we have great helpers, contractors, and ideas–so…we’ve got this, right!? The buzz around Anoka is exciting right now; people are rooting for us. Everyone wants to know how it’s going, and folks are looking forward to seeing what we’re planning to do with the place. We’re already planning a grand opening party; we’ll let ya know all the details on that as it comes together more. For now though, take a quick peek at the progress we’re making so far.
The top, older, photo here is from the end of May; the bottom, new, one is from the beginning July. We have cleaned out a ton of clutter that the old business left behind. We now have tables set up in the shop that are dedicated to making any new wood fixtures that we need–as well as anything else that comes up.
The top photo is the old one. The entire wall, on the left side of the photo has been taken out. In the new (bottom) photo you can see the windows we unearthed. Those windows are going to brighten up the shop a ton! Our plants are just as excited as we are. You can also see that we have taken out all of the coolers on the back wall.
Again, you can see the lack of coolers on the back wall. You can see the lack of clutter, our work station, and the ceiling above the windows have all been finished.
The kitchen are has been de-cluttered, and massively cleaned up.
Again, another view of the bistro. Lots of old stuff–gone. You can also see a few new windows that will be up eventually. 🙂
In case you still have questions…here’s the answers to what we get asked the most…
